Mpho Sebina

Mpho Sebina (m̀.pʰɔ́ sìbínà; born 18 July 1989) is a Motswana singer and songwriter. Her music spans various genres, including soul, R&B, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tswana folk music, and Afro-fusion. Apart from her family, which loves music, Sebina’s influences are a wide range of musical artists such as Brenda Fassie, UB40, Sade, Mariah Carey and Boom Shaka, to name but a few. When it was announced that she was among the class of 2024 members of the Recording Academy, which oversees the Grammy Awards, Sebina made history as she was the first Motswana musician to achieve that milestone. This induction coincided with an invitation to attend the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
