Moin
Nasrollah Moein Najafabadi (Persian: نصرالله معین نجفآبادی, romanized: Nasrollâh Moein Najafâbâdi, born 19 January 1952), known professionally as Moein (معین, Persian pronunciation: [moˈ(ʔ)in]), is an Iranian pop and traditional music singer based in Los Angeles. He began his musical career at the age of 18, training under renowned artists such as Taj Esfahani and Hassan Kasaei. His first official song, Yeki Ra Doost Midaram, released in 1978, brought him widespread fame.
Following the 1979 Iranian Revolution and the subsequent restrictions on musicians, Moein immigrated to the United States, where he continued his career with the release of his debut album, Miparastam, in 1983. Most of his well-known works are the result of collaborations with other Iranian artists in exile. Moein has released 26 official albums, with his latest, Mandegar, published in 2019. He has performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including the Universal Amphitheatre and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as the Dubai Opera House. Moein studied music academically and is often referred to as the "eternal voice of love."
