White Heat

White Heat is a 1949 American film noir, directed by Raoul Walsh. Its screenplay, written by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, is based on a story by Virginia Kellogg. The film stars James Cagney, Virginia Mayo, and Edmond O'Brien. White Heat is considered to be one of the best gangster films of all time. In 2003, White Heat was added to the National Film Registry as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress.
