'Iron Cutter') is an Italian occupational surname which is most prevalent in the regions of Veneto, Piedmont and Lombardy and is also to be found among the Argentine, Brazilian, Venezuelan and (predominantly in its spelling variant Taliaferro) the American Italian diaspora.
