Peter S. Shin

Peter Seajong Shin (신세종) is an American composer and 2025 Guggenheim Fellow in residence at Princeton University. Bits torn from words, a choral work about the reclaiming of his mother tongue, was included in Roomful of Teeth's GRAMMY Award-winning album, Rough Magic. Other honors include both the American Academy of Arts and Letters Charles Ives Scholarship (2023) and Charles Ives Fellowship (2023), and a MacDowell Colony Fellowship (2025).
