neofolk
Neofolk, also known as apocalyptic folk, is a music genre which blends elements of folk and dark wave or industrial music. It emerged in post-punk circles in the 1980s. Neofolk may either be solely acoustic or combine acoustic folk instrumentation with various other sounds.
