Blood Star
Blood Star is a 2024 psychological thriller film directed by Lawrence Jacomelli in his directorial debut, from a script he wrote with Victoria Taylor and George Kelly and based on the short story Don't Look Back. As produced by Jacomelli, Taylor and Zaina Taibi, the film stars John Schwab, Britni Camacho, Sydney Brumfield, Travis Lincoln Cox, Felix Merback and Wyomi Reed. Shot in Palmdale, California, Blood Star follows the harrowing journey of a young girl trapped in a nightmarish cat-and-mouse game with a psychopathic sheriff in New Mexico desert.
Blood Star premiered at Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival in Switzerland on July 9, 2024 and was released in the UK on October 7, 2024 by Plaion. It was produced by Beast Productions, Fastback Films and Beast Los Angeles. The film has been selected at various film festivals in Europe.
