The Weyerhaeuser Company ( WAIR-how-zər) is an American timberland company which owns approximately 10,400,000 acres (16,200 sq mi; 42,000 km2) of timberlands in the U.S., and manages an additional 14,000,000 acres (22,000 sq mi; 57,000 km2) of timberlands under long-term licenses in Canada. The company has manufactured wood products for over a century. It operates as a real estate investment trust (REIT).
