Nigel Douglas

Nigel Douglas (9 May 1929 – 15 December 2023) was an English operatic tenor. His career began in Vienna and other German-speaking centres before he returned to Britain in the early 1970s, when he also directed operettas and broadcast about opera. Grove noted in the 1990s that the "dryness of his voice is offset by superb diction and the excellence of his acting".
