New Victorian
Neo-Victorianism refers to a contemporary cultural, aesthetic, and literary movement that engages with, reimagines, and rewrites the literature, history, and aesthetics of the Victorian period. Emerging prominently in the late 20th century, Neo-Victorianism is characterized by its revisionist approach to Victorian values, its interest in marginalized voices, and its use of postmodern narrative techniques such as pastiche, metafiction, and intertextuality.
