Supergirl

Supergirl is the name of several superheroines appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The original Supergirl is Kara Zor-El, the cousin of superhero Superman. The character made her first appearance in Action Comics #252 (May 1959) and was created by Otto Binder and Al Plastino. After the appearance of Kara Zor-El, the original Supergirl, other characters have taken up the mantle of Supergirl, sometimes at the same time, including Matrix, Linda Danvers and Cir-El.
